We’re proud to support the National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA) in honoring Soldiers and connecting communities through history, innovation, and STEM learning.

Job Summary:
We’re looking for enthusiastic and experienced Museum Educators to lead educational programs, support visitors in the Experiential Learning Center (ELC), and facilitate onsite, offsite, and virtual learning sessions. This role blends storytelling, historical content, and hands-on activities to create powerful connections between visitors and the legacy of the U.S. Army.

You’ll be part of a high-energy, mission-driven team that serves thousands of visitors each year—including students, educators, families, and military-connected audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead educational programs for diverse audiences ages 3–18, using NMUSA-provided lesson plans
  • Deliver engaging content onsite, virtually, and occasionally offsite (within 50 miles)
  • Support daily ELC operations: assist visitors with interactive exhibits, reinforce museum policies, and maintain supplies
  • Participate in program training and certification; maintain readiness on all assigned programs
  • Track and report attendance, participation metrics, and visitor feedback
  • Collaborate with other educators and museum staff to ensure a seamless visitor experience
  • Assist with program setup, materials prep, and post-session cleanup
  • Be ready to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings for special events

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in education, museums, or public-facing environments
  • Strong reading and writing skills
  • Strong public speaking skills and ability to interpret programs for various age groups
  • Required training and certification process for each program
  • Bachelor’s degree in history, museum studies, education, or related field
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and always visitor-focused
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold valid U.S. work authorization
  • Must pass a Tier 1 background check
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Why Join Bloomsburie?

  • Make a meaningful impact in public education and military history
  • Be part of a mission-driven, collaborative, and supportive team
  • Grow professionally while working in a nationally significant museum
