Nauticus Exhibits Intern (Seasonal)
Assist Exhibits department with daily exhibit functions.
Roles and responsibilities include:
1) tracking, organization, and storage of inventory
2) assisting with exhibit installations
3) opening and closing of exhibits
4) operating A/V equipment
5) general cleaning and maintenance
6) interacting with guests
Position Description:
Assist the exhibits department with daily exhibits functions including the tracking of artifacts. Seeking a university enrolled student in pursuit of a college degree in museum studies, history, or related field. Those with previous experience in artifact handling and inventory are also encouraged to apply.
Other Qualifications:
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend and reach above the head
Walk and climb ladders to upper and lower decks required
Tolerate and navigate small spaces
Capacity to withstand varying temperatures, slight rain, and wind
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Nauticus Internships are voluntary, non-paid positions with no expectations of compensation.
Advertised as a seasonal position, but could be offered year-round.
9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Up to 40 hours a week; up to 5 days of any of the 7 days per week; dates and times are negotiable with our operational hours; 150 hours total
